What is Pear Up?
Pear Up is an arts based program founded by Amanda of Peartree & Clover. It is grounded in sustainable practices, inviting participants to pause and reconsider the materials already around them. Pear Up embraces the process of slow intentional art making and is built around the belief that meaningful learning happens best in small, attentive spaces.
Workshops
6 years old +
We will use a variety of recyclables, child friendly cutting tools and decorative supplies to create a spooky, cute or artsy costume for Halloween (or for whenever you need a disguise). Whether you want to be a cute puppy or shiny apple, cardboard has the versatility to be whatever you want.
120 minutes (2 hours) in length.
Maximum of 4 participants.
Adults are allowed to be a participant, as long as you are accompanying a child.
If adults are not participating they can remain onsite to wait or come back at the end of the workshop.
All participants or their parent/guardian must read the waiver before attending the workshop. You will be prompted before purchasing. Should you not accept- we will set some time to discuss prior to the class.

Discover a sustainable world of celebration by creating your own party décor from recycled materials. In this one-to-one series, participants pair up with artist Amanda, who believes in making everything from scratch and finding creative potential in everyday materials.
Across six 1.5-hour sessions, participants will design, build, and create the party décor of their dreams, including photo backdrops, centrepieces, party hats, and matching garlands.
By the end of the series, participants will leave with a fully functional party backdrop or cohesive event décor ensemble, ready to be used for future celebrations.
All participants work toward the same final project.
